With the advent of technological advancement modern man has been exposed to illnesses due to a lack of scientifically proven exercise programs for the prevention of such conditions detrimental to health. A rushed lifestyle without an adequate structured exercise program is an important factor which leads to numerous health deficiencies. Health is gaining more importance today than ever before. Physical exercise is not only vitally important for the prevention of disease but essential for a healthy body, mind and soul as parts of a functional entity. The modern way of life undoubtably affects health particularly when cardiovascular and malignant diseases are in question. Today the same conditions are the leading causes of death and can be prevented with organised exercise programs. Exercises are tailored for all age groups including pregnant women and recently post-COVID patients. Physiotherapists play an important role through physiotherapy assessments and then, as part of an interdisciplinary team of experts for adapting exercises according to individual functional abilities.
