Peripheral nerve damage is a common problem nowadays. Damage to peripheral nerves results in the absence of the function that a particular nerve innervates. Damage to the radial nerve can occur due to various causes, such as trauma to the humerus, compression caused by various causes, and secondary as a result of surgery on the upper arm or damage to the brachialis plexus. With the appearance of a visible and clear sign of "hanging hand" damage, it is clear that there has been an injury to the radial nerve. The absence of motor and sensory function innervated by the radial nerve appears depending on the degree and height and degree of damage. Diagnostics, which includes a clinical examination, electromyoneurography, and radiological imaging, confirm the occurrence of damage, and physical therapy is prescribed accordingly. Physiotherapy procedures that contribute to the improvement of damage and reinnervation of the mentioned nerve are kinesitherapy, electrotherapy, thermotherapy, hydrotherapy and the application of appropriate orthoses. In addition to conservative treatment, sometimes operative treatment is necessary if conservative treatment does not improve the damage. The activities of the patient's daily life are impaired due to the inability to use the affected hand, which also affects the patient's psychological state. Recovery in most cases has a very good prognosis, which means that the motor and sensory function of the hand can be restored completely or a little damage remains.
