Whether the damage is caused by a traffic accident, sports, or a fall, they all result in the disconnection between the periphery and the brain. The consequences can be long-term or short-term and can significantly affect an individual's life. Due to the damaged nervous system, there is a possibility of paralysis. It is imperative to determine whether it is a traumatic or non-traumatic injury and to determine the level of damage to the spinal cord (complete or incomplete/partial). All these parameters determine the method of rehabilitation. The physiotherapist starts the rehabilitation individually for each patient. The purpose of rehabilitation is not only to relieve pain, improve functional abilities, and prevent cardiovascular complications, but also to explain how one can continue to live a fulfilled life despite spinal injury. The goal of every rehabilitation is to prepare the patient to be independent and return to everyday life. In order to fulfill this goal, physiotherapists use various tests and measurements, and get to know their patient's habits. Afterwards, the appropriate therapy is determined accordingly. Thanks to the advancement of technology, spinal injury recovery is not only possible but can be individualized on a case-by-case basis.
