This paper primarily deals with physiotherapy procedures in working with neuro-risk children, but also general information concerning children with neuro-risk, such as defining the clinical picture, information on interventions and description of children's lifestyle. The term neurorisk child is a term used in the context of children who are exposed to risk factors that can negatively affect their brain and nervous system development. These risk factors can include prenatal (before birth) or postnatal (after birth) factors that can lead to problems in a child's brain development. Neurorisk children may be exposed to various risk factors such as lack of adequate nutrition, exposure to toxins, drug or alcohol abuse during pregnancy, lack of stimulation and support in early childhood, genetic factors, traumatic events or diseases. These children may have developmental difficulties, including motor problems, language difficulties, learning difficulties, emotional and social challenges. Therefore, it is important to provide support and intervention to these children in order to reduce the negative impact of risk factors and encourage their optimal development. The aim of this paper is to point out the issue of neurorisk, the necessity of early intervention and the importance of therapy in children with neurorisk. Parent education plays a key role in supporting neuro-risk children. Parents are the first and most important source of support and influence on the child, therefore it is important that they are informed about the specific needs and challenges that neuro-risk children may have.
